Board Academy™
Effective governance depends on directors who combine technical knowledge with sound judgement, independent thinking and practical experience. Today's directors are expected to exercise independent judgement, provide effective oversight, oversee delegated activities, challenge constructively, fulfil their fiduciary duties and demonstrate that decisions are informed, well documented and supported by robust governance processes.
The Board Academy™ bridges the gap between governance theory, regulatory expectations and practical boardroom execution. Combining Luxembourg regulatory requirements, CSSF supervisory priorities, ILA governance principles and international governance best practices, our programmes help directors translate governance into effective day-to-day decision-making.
Designed for boards of directors, investment funds, PSFs, family offices, multinational groups, fund administrators and independent directors, every programme is tailored to the organisation's governance framework, operating model and strategic priorities.
Rather than delivering generic governance training, we build practical boardroom capability, helping directors become more confident, effective and better equipped to lead organisations with accountability.

Why learn with Diderich Consulting?
The Board Academy™ has been developed by Horiana Secara, Founder of Diderich Consulting, a CSSF-approved director with more than 11 years of governance experience in Luxembourg.
Combining a background in law, finance and corporate governance, Horiana brings a multidisciplinary perspective that bridges legal requirements, commercial decision-making and operational execution. This enables directors to understand not only what good governance requires, but how to implement it effectively in practice.
Over the course of her career, Horiana has organised and participated in more than 2,500 board meetings, including over 1,400 meetings as Company Secretary and more than 1,000 meetings as Director, across investment funds, regulated entities and multinational group structures.
Beyond her personal board mandates, Horiana built and led the corporate governance function of a leading Luxembourg fund administrator and coordinated its directorship practice across a large portfolio of entities. This experience provides first-hand insight into board organisation, governance operating models, governance documentation, delegation frameworks and the practical challenges faced by boards, governance teams, fund administrators and regulated entities.
Every programme is built on practical experience rather than theory alone.
